A STRONG BOND WITH THE MOUNTAINS<\/h3>\n

Bonatti\u2019s inextricable bond with Courmayeur and the peaks of the Mont Blanc chain (amongst others) was created by both his successful accomplishments and those with a dramatic ending. Among these mountains he forged strong friendships with climbing partners and those who regularly haunted these sites at the foot of Mont Blanc. Indeed, it was from his friendship with the industrialist Pierre Sicouri that the hut bearing the name \u201cWalter Bonatti\u201d with great honour since 1998 was born<\/p>\n
